The company used to be established in 1924. The founding fathers selected the name Citizen so it would be “”Close to the Hearts of People All over the place”” and soon after adopted the company’s formal name, Citizen Watch Company.

If the power becomes very low, the second one hand advances at 2-second intervals, indicating that charging is necessary.
